The Havila Resort in Kirinyaga County was on Christmas Day the center of attraction to both International and ,local merry makers .
The Resort, located along the banks of the voluminous Sagana river banks provided various entertainments alongside its delicacies .
Some of the entertainments included archery, tricycle racing, boat racing among others while Chef Wilson Kimani ensured African quisine and other delicacies were on the ready.

Kimani is famed for his unrivalled style of chicken and goat meat roasting and grilling , according to the specifications of the customers .
The mouthwatering delicacies are prepared by the long experienced chef on order and the mass a customer so wishes to have as an individual or a group.
The resort came to prominence in 2015 after it was declared the International Olympic site for Kayaking and canoeing for the Africa continent.
The resort was used to select the Rio Olympic qualifiers for the competitors from the vast continent.

Under the steady management of Mr Alexander Chege , the resort has continued to attract visitors from across the world .
During the ongoing Christmas festival season, the resort was such an attraction though could not hold a huge number to covid -19 health protocols.
“We it not for these convid- 19 restrictions we would be having a full house but unfortunately we had to turn away most of the visitors and only allowed in on first come first served basis just to ensure strict compliance ,”Chege said.

The resort lies off the main Kennol-Makutano- Sagana –Nyeri highway and is expected to attract more visitors and guests once the ongoing construction of the Kennol- Marua road is completed.
Sagana river which has some water falls within the camp site makes this sport and recreational venue attractive and ideal for both merry making and entertainment for the resort .
In December 2019 Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru celebrated Christmas to the venue accompanied by other women leaders who included Beatrice Elachi, Cecily Mbarire and Rachel Shebesh.

Yesterday Chege hoped the corona pandemic will be eradicated soon to enable his provide more attractions at the facility while merry makers said the facility provided the best option as compared to the monotonous Coast or Naivasha.
